Julius Caesar is now the most powerful man in Rome. He has been given the title “Dictator for Life”, and many people see him as a strong leader who has brought peace and order to the city.To some, he saved Rome. But to others, he has taken too much control and now threatens the old way of government. Before Caesar rose to power, Rome was a republic. The Senate made laws, and two consuls shared power. Citizens voted, and no single person ruled alone. People believed that this system protected their freedom. But over time, civil wars, greed, and corruption weakened the Republic. Leaders fought for power, and the people lost trust in the Senate.

Now, with Caesar in control, Rome is more organized and stronger but the Senate has lost much of its power. Some senators are afraid that Caesar wants to become a king, which terrified some senators whose ancestors had fought to put an end to the monarchy. These senators believe they must stop him, even if it means killing him.Others still support Caesar, either because they agree with his rule or because they fear what might happen if he is removed. Some are unsure what to do, and a few may even be planning to warn Caesar about the plot against him.

We are gathered in this committee to decide the future of Rome. Will Caesar be assassinated? Or will the Liberators be betrayed and Caesar’s rule continue? The fate of the Republic is now in your hands.
