Agenda Item: Resolving Displacement and Refugee Crisis Resulting from Ongoing Conflicts

 

The Special Political and Decolonization Committee (SPECPOL) focuses on some of the world s most pressing issues in peace, security, and humanitarian challenges. Right now, ongoing conflicts in many regions have forced millions of people to leave their homes, creating one of the largest refugee crises since World War II. These displaced individuals face countless hardships finding shelter, reaching food sources, staying healthy, and accessing education and jobs all become daily struggles. At the same time, the countries that welcome them often experience economic strain and political challenges as they try to support these sudden population increases. At 15JULYMUN’26 delegates are expected to come together to find relevant, cooperative solutions that help both refugees and the nations opening their doors to them.
