Agenda Item: Reducing the Social Pressures on Women Caused by Discriminatory Practices Justified by Religion.

UNWOMEN is the United Nations entity dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. In many regions, social pressure on women caused by discriminatory practices justified by religion, such as mobility restrictions, unequal inheritance and testimony, and mandatory dress codes, continues to affect women’s daily lives, freedom, and development. At 15JULYMUN’26, delegates are expected to work together to develop cooperative solutions that not only support women facing social pressures from discriminatory practices justified by religion but also respect the cultural and religious contexts of the nations involved.
